The story
Ayhan Yener grew up in Eskişehir, finished Eskişehir Anatolian High School and studied medicine at Eskişehir Medical School. In 1991, as a medical student, he co-founded the rock band Haramiler with classmates. Medicine and music ran in parallel for years.
After graduating he worked as a physician for about a decade. In the mid-2000s he was practising at Dünya Göz Hospital in Ataköy, Istanbul.
He then moved into medical affairs, first as a medical manager at two pharmaceutical companies in Istanbul, then at GEN in Ankara. Over twelve years there he ran a business unit for four years and served as Medical Director for five. He led eight medical managers, twenty-five science-service specialists and the company's ethics and compliance function, working on therapies for rare diseases in Türkiye and neighbouring regions.

That work meant reading clinical trials closely, questioning claims and keeping patient safety above sales targets. It is the same discipline he applies with patients today: an accurate diagnosis, approved products, conservative doses and a result that looks like you on a good day.
